Stream bath |
With 100% humidity and 45 °C, the steam bath will give you the feeling of being bathed in a warm, moist mist. The steam contains ethereal oils. Inhalation of the essences and scents during the steam bath is especially beneficial for the upper respiratory tract. The humidity is good for the skin and promotes circulation. We recommend two to three steam bath sessions of 10‒20 minutes each, followed by a cooling down period. |
Sauna |
The sauna is a dry, hot air bath with a temperature of 85‒98°C and humidity of 10–15%. It has proven beneficial effects on the vegetative nervous system and sleep patterns – sauna users experience longer phases of REM sleep and fewer half-waking states. It also helps regulate blood pressure. A visit to the sauna exercises your cardiovascular system, revitalises muscles after skiing and enhances your overall sense of well-being. |
Bio sauna |
The ambient temperature in the bio-sauna is 50‒60°C, and the humidity is a moderate 50%. This creates a “soft bath” that lowers stress on the cardiovascular system while promoting relaxation and regeneration. A session lasts between 8 and 20 minutes, depending on your health status and subjective feeling of well-being, and can be repeated 2 to 3 times. |

How to use the sauna
A sauna session lasts between 8 and 12 minutes, but no more than 15 minutes. For an optimal sauna experience, we recommend 2-3 sessions and a lukewarm shower after leaving the sauna. Recover for 10-15 minutes in our quiet rooms between sessions.
Spa Etiquette For your wellbeing and out of consideration for other guests of the OVAVERVA spa, here are a few golden tips and rules of etiquette: Shower before using the wellness areas and before and after using the sauna. Drink plenty of water or tea before and after every sauna session. Do not use the sauna on an empty or full stomach. Do not wear swimwear in the sauna, but cover yourself with a towel. Avoid skin contact with the benches. Avoid physical exertion after using the sauna. Be quiet in all areas, do not hold conversations in the quiet rooms and wear a towel or bathrobe. The spa is a smoke-free zone. Mobile phones are not allowed anywhere in the spa. |
Clothing in the spa area
You will be allocated a locker in the reception for your personal belongings. Bathrobe, towel and slippers are free of charge when you book a treatment. For hygienic reasons, please en-ter the saunas and steam baths unclothed, but wear swimwear in the textile steam bath and “Rosatsch” bath out of consideration for other guests.
Caution with pre-existing conditions and regular medication:
Please check with your doctor beforehand whether a visit to a spa and sauna is advisable for you if you have a pre-existing cardiovascular condition (e.g. diabetes, heart disease, high or low blood pressure) or need to take regular medication (especially anticoagulant drugs, antihistamines, sedatives or drugs belonging to the group of beta-blockers).
